Huesca and its region are history, art, architecture, nature, adventure, party, tradition, modernity, gastronomy. They are, all in all, cultural diversity and landscape contrast.
Between Huesca and
Reino de Los Mallos we can find
"Castillo de Loarre" (Loarre Castle). With its Eagle's nest, the whole region of La Hoya, is justly, the most famous monument of the area, and one of the flagships of the Aragonese heritage.
The town of
Ayerbe is the entrance to Reino de Los Mallos. Famous village for its fairs, markets and pastry products, its urban area has important historic monuments: Marqueses d'Ayerbe Palace, "Torre del Reloj" (Clock Tower), Romanesque tower of San Pedro, Ramón y Cajal interpretation centre.
The Mallos de la Hoya are geological formations which can be found in
Riglos, Agüero and
Murillo de Gállego, situated in the border of the external Pyrenean mountains and the Ebro depression.
Riglos is located under these conglomerate vertical cliffs. This place is never unnoticed due to its great landscape, natural and cultural value. A paradise to mountaineers and climbers fond of ornithology, since it is a privileged place for watching Vultures, Eagles and Lammergeiers.
The village of Murillo de Gállego stands on a mountainside which faces the south, on the right bank of the Gállego River, opposite the spectacular Mallos de Riglos. Murillo is more than the precious cultural patrimony it possesses: The church of El Salvador, the Romanesque chapel of the Virgin of Liena. It is a land of wines with its Reino de Los Mallos winery, but above all, it is a place for adventure. The Gállego River canyon allows the carrying out of all sorts of aquatic adventure sports: White-water rafting, Hydrospeed,...
