Over 100 km away from Zaragosa, in the easternmost region of this province, is
Aragon Sea, a landscape paradise. Its more than 500 kms of coastline, and high water temperature, favours the practice of several nautical sports and tourist activities. It extends from Mequinenza up by the old Ebro River course, almost to
Sástago.
Caspe is, undoubtedly, the main city of the region. The city can boast about the countless monuments it possesses: Santa María's collegiate church, the Compromiso Castle ruins, Miralpeix Roman Mausoleum, Santa María de Horta Romanesque chapel, Salamanca's tower, Barberán Palace or the Town Hall.
Chipirona skirts around a meander of the Ebro River, holding in its built up area, some treasures which are worth visiting, such us Consolación Chapel, which preserves among its walls, the remains of Lucio Fabio Severo's Roman mausoleum. Another main attraction of
Chiprana, is the "Salada" (permanent salt lake).
Maella, Fabara, Nonaspe, Fayón ( flooded when the dam was built) and Mequinenza are also remarkable towns in the region.
